Forchlorfenuron is an organic compound used as a plant growth regulator. It has cytokinin activity and can promote cell division, differentiation, organ formation, protein synthesis, and improve photosynthesis.
Using 2-chloropyridine as raw material, in acetic acid medium, using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant to oxidize to 2-chloropyridine-N-oxide, nitrate with mixed acid to obtain 2-chloro-4-nitropyridine-N-oxide, And then use conventional methods to reduce 2-chloro-4-aminopyridine.
It is also possible to use isonicotinic acid as a raw material to generate isonicotinic acid N-oxide by oxidizing with hydrogen peroxide, and then to obtain isonicotinic acid N-oxide by amination, and then chlorinate to generate 2-chloro-isonicotinamide. Furman degradation reaction produces 2-chloro-4-aminopyridine.
