The milk nutrients content of skimmed milk powder is 36% protein, 1% fat, 52% carbohydrate, 1300 mg calcium, 1030 mg phosphorus, 0.6 mg iron, 40 vitamin A (international unit) 40, thiamine 0.35 mg, Riboflavin 1.96 mg, niacin 1.1 mg, and traces of ascorbic acid per 100 g. The whole milk powder has fewer minerals, but because of the higher fat, the milk calories is higher than that of skim milk powder.
It is not advisable to use boiling water to prepare milk powder.
