Prevention and Treatment of Three Common Diseases in Dairy Cows

1. Mastitis

Causes: improper feeding and management, mechanical breast injury, incomplete environmental disinfection, obstructed breast collaterals or excessive breast milk, etc., can cause the cow disease.

Symptoms: Swelling and hardening of mammary glands, red, hot, painful, and poor milk secretion in affected animals. In severe cases, appetite decreases, body temperature rises, milk volume decreases greatly. Milk is yellowish-brown and has clotted. Moreover, breast suppuration and ulceration, pus discharge and healing, but there are also long-term healing and relays for a chronic process.

Prevention and treatment: Houttuynia Cordata injection, 50 ml/time, with very Mycin 100,000 units, intramuscular injection, once a day, for 3 to 5 days. Ruyankang Injection (Chongqing Tianlong Veterinary Pharmaceutical Factory) 40 ml intramuscular injection once a day for 3 to 5 days.

Modified Trichosanthes Powder: 45g Trichosanthes, 45g Chinses Angelica, 30g Frankincense, 30g Myrrh, 30g Licorice, 30g Pollen, 30g Fritillaria, 30g Honeysuckle, 60g Forsythia Suspense, a total of research fines, boiled water irrigation, a daily dose, for 3 to 5 days.

2. Uteritis

Etiology: Mucous or suppurative inflammation of uterus is caused by mating, childbirth, and infection during dystocia, or by vaginitis, placenta and other diseases.

Symptoms: Severe inflammation, showing increased body temperature, loss of appetite or abandonment, depression, and discharge purulent secretions from the vagina, from time to time for voiding posture. Oestrus is abnormal, not easy to conceive, easy to abort, when estrus discharges more mucus, with grayish-white or yellowish-brown thin pus, vulva and tail often have mucopurulent secretions and scab.

Prevention and treatment: After washing the uterus with 0.1% potassium permanganate solution, the mild patients were injected with bacteria without fear of dilution into the uterus, and Tianmumycin (Chongqing Tianlong Veterinary Pharmaceutical Factory) was injected intramuscularly for 3 to 5 days once a day.

The severely diseased female cow received systemic treatment, intravenous injection of cephalosporin 1, 20000 units per kilogram, once a day for 3 to 5 days.

Infusion: Uterine Antiphlogistic Powder 400g/time, once a day, for 3-5 days. Doziduo injection 10 ml/time to dilate the cervical orifice and promote the excretion of uterine endocrine. Gong Ru An Injection 20-40 ml/time, intramuscular injection or direct injection into the uterus, once a day, for 5-7 days.

Addition or subtraction of biochemical soup: Angelica 90 g, Chuanxiong 30 g, peach seed 30 g, artillery ginger 40 g, motherwort 90 g, the orange shell 45 g, licorice 45 G. If the blood stasis from the vagina, add cattail, Wulingzhi, Yanhusuo 40 grams each. If the body temperature rises, reduce the artillery ginger, add 40 grams of raw land, Dani, and Phellodendron.

3. Foot lobe inflammation

Etiology: It is mainly caused by overeating concentrate, insufficient drinking water, dyspepsia, and cold.

Symptoms: The disease often occurs abruptly. When the symptoms are serious, the animals suffer from pain, often causing sweating, shortness of breath, elevated body temperature, reduced appetite, and secondary infections, with the symptoms of the primary disease.

Prevention and treatment: Wandu disinfectant solution is poured into spraying pot at the ratio of 1:200 and sprayed directly into kicking fork twice a day for 5-7 days.

Chinses Angelica: Chinses Angelica 40g, Safflower 30g, Achyranthes Bidentata 35g, Frankincense 40g, Myrrh 40g, Red Spoon 30g, Papaya 35g, Cinnamon Twig 35g, Costus 35g, Dried tangerine peel 30g, Dragon's Blood 30g, Rhizome of Chuanxiong 30g. If body temperature rises, Forsythia chrysanthemum 35g each, appetite is not good plus Aurantii 40g.
