"Overall, the quality and safety of infant formula milk powder in China have improved steadily." Bi Jingquan, director of the State Food and Drug Administration, pointed out at the press conference. Behind the improvement of China's milk powder quality is the enterprises’ adoption of new technologies to control quality.
"The power of technology has made us a big step forward in ensuring the quality and safety of our products," said Sun Lisheng, senior manager of the technology department at Maan Shan Plant in Mengniu Dairy. Mengniu is a Chinese famous milk company.
"In terms of equipment cleaning, we used to have our practices, but the level of sophistication has not been optimal." Sun Lisheng said, "We found that Danone has accumulated a complete technical system for cleaning verification, which is Neptune 2.0 technology. "
Sun Lisheng and his colleagues introduced this technology, combined with the original production system, greatly improved the level of clean risk prevention and control, and strengthened the "pre-existing" prevention of quality management.
Mengniu Diary said that it is quality control management introduced an automatic system, real-time monitoring, and early warning through the data monitoring platform, effectively eliminating human error. At present, the SAP system covers Mengniu's 33 cattle companies, 58 factories and thousands of dealers. The LIMS system provides nearly 400,000 inspection data for Mengniu every day, which improves the quality accuracy and stability of the production process.
Wang Yansong, assistant vice president of Mengniu, said that the automatic detection rate of Mengniu has reached 93%. Compared with foreign advanced enterprises, it is not inferior.
In the pasture management system, Mengniu introduced the farm management system of Arla in Denmark and combined with the actual and management experience of Chinese pastures, formulated the standardized operating procedures for the pasture. Behind it is the combing of more than 200 experts in China over the years to 661 key points. Mengniu said that shortly, this set of procedures will be promoted to the dairy industry to improve the quality control of the industry's milk source.
Wen Yongping, assistant vice president of Mengniu, said that scanning the QR code on the product packaging now can trace the detailed information from the milk source to the key parts of the finished dairy products. Also, Mengniu is working with the industry to promote the “traceable +” strategy and strive to achieve a precise trace of “one pack and one code” to win consumer confidence with visible quality.
At the two national conferences being held, the recommendations submitted by the Central Committee of the Agricultural and Labor Party mentioned that one of the keys to ensuring the quality of domestically produced infant formula milk powder of milk markets is to "guide enterprises to increase investment in science and technology innovation, integrate high-quality resources globally, and stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of research institutes and relevant enterprises and promotes overall technological innovation and product structure upgrades."
