Operations
1. Take 200 μL milk specimen, add into micro well, mix with the pink agent 10 times.
Remark: avoid specimen residues too much in the well.
2. Incubate 3 minutes
3. Insert strips into the wells
4. Incubate 5 minutes
5. Take out strips and read results by eye or reader.

Interpretation
Visual inspection
1. If C line visible, interpret according to the instruction. T line compare with C line to interpret positive or negative.

    Melamine Rapid Test Kit

    About melamine

    Melamine, also known as protamine, is a pure white monoclinic crystal, odorless, soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in cold water, and low toxicity. In general, it is more stable. Main Uses Melamine is a basic organic chemical intermediate product with a wide range of uses. It is widely used in wood, plastics, coatings, papermaking, textile, leather, electrical, pharmaceutical and other industries. Melamine is a low-toxic chemical raw material. The results of animal experiments show that a large amount of intake or long-term intake of melamine will cause damage to the reproductive and urinary systems, stones in the bladder and kidneys, and may further induce bladder cancer.

    Melamine rapid test kit detection range and detection limit

    Detection range

    1. Solid samples: solid samples such as feed, feed raw materials, milk powder, cake, milk tea powder, etc.
    2. Liquid samples: liquid raw milk, yogurt, chocolate milk, coffee milk and other liquid milk products.
    3. Fresh eggs, etc.

    Detection limit

    100μg / kg (μg / kg = ppb)

    Melamine Rapid Test Kit sample processing

    1. Ordinary milk:

    Fresh milk and sterilized milk (UHT milk, pasteurized milk) are tested directly after returning to room temperature;

    2. Seasoned sterilized milk:

    1: 2.5 reduction with purified water (1 sample + 2.5 parts of purified water) directly detect.

    3. Milk powder:

    Reduce with purified water 1: 9 (1 sample + 9 parts of purified water), use vortex or manual shaking vigorously for 5 ~ 10min to fully dissolve and directly detect.

    Use of Melamine Rapid Test Kit

    1. Read the instruction manual completely before testing;
    2. Unpack the bag, take out the test card, and use it within one hour as soon as possible;
    3. Aspirate the sample solution to be tested with a dropper, add 5 drops (120 μL) vertically into the sample hole, and start timing
    4. Interpretation results after 5 minutes; interpretation results are invalid after 8 minutes.

    Interpretation of Melamine Rapid Test results

    Negative (-): Both C and T lines are colored. Indicates that the sample does not contain the substance to be detected or its concentration is below the detection limit.
    Positive (+): If the T line is not colored, it means that the concentration of the substance to be detected in the sample is higher than the detection limit.
    Invalid: The quality control C line is not colored, indicating that the operation process is incorrect or the test card is invalid.

    Notes on melamine rapid test

    1. Please use the test card once within the validity period;
    2. Restore the test card and the sample to be tested to room temperature before use;
    3. The dropper cannot be mixed to avoid cross contamination;
    4. Avoid direct sunlight and direct blow by electric fan during testing;
    5. Do not use tap water, purified water and distilled water as negative controls;
    6. If the sample is very viscous, it may cause the sample to fail to be chromatographed. At this time, add 1 to 2 drops appropriately;

    Application of melamine

    Melamine board

    Melamine board, abbreviated as melamine board, full name is melamine impregnated film-coated artificial board. Commonly used in the decoration of indoor buildings and various furniture and cabinets. Some panels, walls, cabinets, cabinet shelves, etc.
    Advantages: flat surface, easy to deform because of the same expansion coefficient on both sides of the plate, bright color, more wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface, and economical price.
    Disadvantages: edge banding is easy to collapse, can’t gong flowers, only straight edge banding.

    Melamine sponge

    Melamine (melamine) sponge is a new type of plastic foam with a three-dimensional grid structure with high open porosity. Comprehensive performance such as secondary processing.
    Six characteristics of melamine sponge
    1. High flame resistance;
    2. Strong sound absorption ability;
    3. Good thermal insulation;
    4. High temperature resistance;
    5. Low bulk density;

    Melamine milk

    In the national standard, the protein content of milk is calculated based on the nitrogen content. In order to make the protein content in milk comply with the national standard, many criminals use melamine as a protein.
    How is melamine added to milk? There are two possible ways.
    One is to add milk station to raw milk. This has certain limitations because melamine is slightly soluble in water.
    Another way is to add melamine in the milk powder manufacturing process, which is not limited by solubility, you can add as much as you want.
    It was because of this that the "Sanlu milk powder" incident occurred. Now melamine has been banned from being added as a food additive to any food.

    Summary

    The results of animal experiments show that a large amount of intake or long-term intake of melamine will cause damage to the reproductive and urinary systems, stones in the bladder and kidneys, and may further induce bladder cancer. But there are still lawbreakers who know the law and break the law and use melamine, so the detection of melamine becomes particularly important.
